My Research Interests

Photoredox Catalysis 

  • Homogeneous and heterogeneous photocatalysis for organic reactions: Oxidation, Reduction, Cycloaddition, C-C, C-N, C-O, C-S etc. bond formation under visible light aided photocatalytic condition.

  • Development of newer photocatalysts and their applications towards green chemistry and organic transformations.

Selective Bond activation  

  • Design and synthesis of selective catalysts towards the depolymerization of natural & synthetic non-biodegradable  polymers through selective bond (C-C, C-O etc.) cleavage to get value added fine chemicals.

  • Reaction mechanistic investigation with isotope labeling studies, trapping of the reactive intermediates and experiment on kinetics. 

Catalysis for discovery of new reactions 

  • Development of self separable homogeneous catalysts.

  • Deoxygenative pathway towards hydrogen production from water.

​

  • Deoxygenative alkylation with alcohol.
