I am working as an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry under the School of Applied Sciences at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM).

I completed my B. Sc. degree from Scottish Church College under the University of Calcutta in 2005 and then obtained my M. Sc degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG) in 2007. After completing my master degree, I joined Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IITKGP) for my doctoral study and completed my Ph.D. work in 2012. In the month of February, 2013 I joined to the Innovated Photosynthesis laboratory at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore as a postdoctoral research fellow. After completing my postdoctoral studies, I joined in the Department of Chemistry, University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) as an assistant professor of organic chemistry in the month of July, 2017.

The broader area of my research interest is the catalysis for sustainable development.
